In this talk, Doug Thomas presents “A New Culture of Learning,” challenging our assumptions about how learning occurs and laying out his own basic principles. Doug shows how our connected world can be a resource for learning, and he argues that the new culture of learning must leverage systems thinking as well as social and technical infrastructures in new ways. At the same time, it’s essential to cultivate innovation through imagination – and to understand the critical role of play, mentorship, and collaborative meaning making.
