We all know that we have some remarkable examples of how students and teachers are leveraging the power of technology to empower and develop deep-sustained learning but how do we get these sparks of innovation to spread throughout our entire district to create and cultivate a new learning culture? This year’s TechFest is all about fanning the flame. We are coming together to be challenged, collaborate and share our visions and practices for moving forward in the digital learning frontier.

Teeter-Totter Tech Tips

Take two great teachers who are passionate about using technology to fuel learning, give them 5 minutes to share some cool tips and let them go back and forth and you have the makings of some "teeter-totter tech tips".

Sean will give you some basic training in photography and videography so the next time you do a project you'll be able to help your students produce high quaility media. Tips will include:

  • Photography: composition / lighting
  • Video: narrative / variety of shots
  • Resource website

Holly will offer a different angle and focus on:

  • Conditional Formatting in Google Forms
  • Student Portfolios- Every educators goal in 2014
  • Collaboration 3.0
